Downgraded to XP, Hard Drive Problems
So I was having monitor display problems and I decided that I should downgrade back to XP. Right now I'm looking for a cool skin to add to XP, because I'm tired of the bland standard one. Although the only problem I'm having is that windows will only see 1 of my 3 hard drives. Even in BIOS it only detects one, this has proved to be frustrating. If anyone has a solution halp plx. I'm now thinking I should of backed up my Steam games because I'm having to re-DL them all which takes forevar! I joined a Clan for TF2 it's called TAW. The only thing I don't like is that they have practices I have to show up to =\. Although it's only 2 hours a weeks it still can be inconvenient; although that's significantly less than WoW.

Hmm.. a shot in the dark here.. are the hard drives set up propperly? Like do they have the jumpers in the right place and are they on the chain in order? That's all I got for ya. Good luck.

So I took it back and got the same one again. This time I decided to keep Vista. x] haha.

Yea that's what I was thinking. I'll admit there are some bonuses to Vista, like it's better for servers, you can run more than 2 gigs of RAM, and maybe a few others, but quite a few functions as well as all the crazy ass DRM that's on it kinda ruins it all. Plus, how can you accept it, it was merely a stepping stone to advance Windows 7.
But I digress, I dunno how to fix your problem, good luck with your HDDs.

ehh if ur looking for more than 2gb ram just get xp 64 bit
as for vista... as far as i can tell, it has 1 benefit. and that is that its prettier than xp. and that is only because of DX10. which is prettier but slower. so i still say fuck vista, im upgrading to xp 64 bit

You can use 3.5 GB RAM with any modern 32 bit OS, 4 GB with PAE. Use a 64 bit OS (like XP x64) for more.
And Vista better for servers?

If its not detecting them in bios, thats not a vista issue.
I'd suggest jumpers as my previous poster friendo suggested.
To be honest, I NeedMoreData.
What kind of hard drives,
what kind of motherboard,
Are they raided together,
What other devices have you got installed,
etc.etc.

I solved the problem, it was a human error, when my friend was helping ghost my Raptor he disconnected the other ones and didn't tell me so I have to plug them in... >.<
