So, basically I have to build a "Balloon Car" for my physics class I'm thinking of like levitating the wheels using magnetics or something. But idk what I'll end up doing. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to add :p

I'm also planning on using my Laptop to Torrent and DL stuff with, I'm planning on running Ubuntu on it, I had some questions though. Were should I download Ubunutu? What's a good "Private Tracker" for Tv and Movies and such? What kind of external Drive should I get? if anyone knows halp would be appreciated :p. But overall I'm excited to get started using Linux, my whole life I've been using windows, I don't dislike windows nor do I plan to stop using it. All I'm saying is that it's going to be interesting trying a new OS.

I go where I please, and I please where I go

I wouldn't go with magnets unless you had computer-controlled electromagnets, levitating via magnetic force is only possible with a stabiliser which is either gyroscopic force as in the little spinning tops, or electric mediation such as the systems present in the Maglev trains.

you can go to Ubuntu's website and they will mail you a free one. my brother did that and they gave him like 5 of kubuntu, ubuntu, and xbuntu and stickers it was crazy. the cd's also have UbuntuLive, which runs the OS off the disk. EXTREMELY USEFUL, so i really urge you to get it.

so as a balloon car, the only requirement is for the car to hover above the ground to some degree?

Ah! and you hope to reduce friction against the propulsion by having the car levitate! I'm starting to understand! How big is the car, and how rough is it's underside? Is it on wheels? Wheels that actually roll?!

Yea, it does have wheels, that do turn, they use an axel to work. I was thinking of levitating the axel, to reduce friction but that seems complicated.
